He’s the creator of Not a Newsletter, a monthly briefing with news, tips, and ideas about how to send better email. He previously worked as the Director of Newsletters at both The New Yorker and BuzzFeed.
MarketerHire once wrote, “Though he doesn’t call himself this, it wouldn’t be a stretch to call him a newsletter guru.” (Dan agrees that he wouldn’t call himself this.) He’s widely quoted on email strategies, including in publications like The Washington Post, Fortune, and Digiday.
Dan has been featured speaker at email conferences in seven different countries. (Denmark will be the eighth.) He lives in New York City.
